Some tour postponements also have their advantages
Actually, all the tour postponements during the peak of the Corona pandemic were just sad, but the fact that "The European Siege" tour, originally planned for October 2021, has been postponed by one year and will take place only now, has its good points. While the two headlining bands ARCH ENEMY and BEHEMOTH were still in the middle of working on their new albums last year, these have been released in the meantime and can be taken into account more in the setlist accordingly.This is all the more important for Arch Enemy, because the previous album "Will To Power" was already from 2017 and was presented sufficiently. Now the new masterpiece "Deceivers" is available, which just missed the top of the German charts and shows with number 2 that the melodic death metal of the band has become a sound compatible with the masses. The Swedish-Canadian-American band's career has been elevated to a new level since 2014 with the addition of frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz. The vegan with the striking blue hair is not only pretty, but also has a wide vocal range, from coarse growls to commanding clear vocals. With former Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis, a congenial partner for mastermind Michael Amott also joined the band at the same time. The new work spans the melodic death arch from the stadium rocking opener "Handshake With Hell" to the hardcore rooted title track as well as the epic "Spreading Black Wings" to the thrashy "The Watcher", which you can see here in this live video:

BEHEMOTH - POWERFUL LIVE PERFORMANCE PAIRED WITH BRUTAL SOUNDS
BEHEMOTH (by the way is pronounced "Bihiemes" and not "Bee-Hee-Moss") also have the advantage that with "Opvs Contra Natvram" a new album is available, after the last one is already four years old and was duly presented by the Poles e.g. in 2020 as support of SLIPKNOT and at their W:O:A appearance this year. Even if the new album is partly discussed controversially, it offers plenty of material for fans of the black metallers. For example, there is the majestic hymn "The Deathless Sun", the blastbeat orgy "Ov My Herculean Exile" or the latently punky "Off To War" Live the band around the charismatic frontman Nergal is a power anyway and offers with their theatrical appearance as well as an impressive pyro show also a lot for the eye. A good impression of this is given by this impressive video of a streaming concert filmed on the roof of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, which also includes the songs mentioned above.
