With over 100 million records sold, Kiss, founded in 1973, are one of the most successful rock bands of all time. This is largely due to the image and look of the musicians, who have given themselves their own characters and embody them with made-up masks and specially designed costumes. The Starchild, The Demon, The Spaceman and The Catman have thus inspired the look of countless other bands (including King Diamond, Lordi, Slipknot) as well as the entire black metal scene. The band took off their masks for the album "Lick It Up" in 1983, but returned to the old outfit in 1996. Especially live, the band is a spectacle: bassist Gene Simmons spits both blood and fire, and Paul Stanley flies over the audience on tightropes. Kiss are one of the greatest legends in rock history and everyone knows their distinctive logo!
