Beastie Boys - Fight for your Right
No Sleep Till Brooklyn
In the heart of New York in 1978, three friends Adam "MCA" Yauch, Michael "Mike D" Diamaond and Adam "Ad Rock" Horovitz came together as the Beastie Boys. Starting out as a hardcore punk band, they paved new musical paths as an alternative hip-hop combo. Their DIY attitude, taken from the punk scene, set them apart from most of the rap scene at the time.

Their big breakthrough came in 1986 with their debut album "Licensed to Ill". It includes the hit single "Fight for your right", which is still a must at every rock party. After a somewhat hip hop-heavy period, the band returned to their punk roots with their album "Check your Head" in 1992. As a result, their biggest hit "Sabotage" was released. Unfortunately, bassist and vocalist Adam "MCA" Yauch passed away in 2012 as a result of parotid gland cancer. Before his death, the band gave their fans one last album, with which they were deservedly inducted into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame".
