Hammerfall formed as a counter-reaction to the grunge wave to show that heavy metal is not dead after all, as some magazines claimed at the time. The debut "Glory To The Brave" hit like a hammer and brought the band to the stage of the W:O:A among others. Besides singer Joacim Cans, guitarist Oscar Dronjak with his eye-catching leather outfits is the main focus. Meanwhile, the Swedes make it to a dozen albums and three gold awards.
