Somewhere Far Beyond

The band from Krefeld started in the late eighties as a flawless speed metal band, but already in the early nineties they took a more and more bombastic course with the addition of keyboards and choirs. With "Somewhere Far Beyond", "Imaginations From The Other Side" and "Nightfall In Middle-Earth" they created their great classics. As the titles suggest, singer Hansi Kürsch's lyrics are inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien and Stephen King. Over the years, the orchestral passages came more and more to the fore, culminating in the monumental epic "Legacy Of The Dark Lands", which was recorded with the Twilight Orchestra. Since then, Blind Guardian have returned more strongly to their roots, as the thrilling new album "The God Machine" proves.
