While on the German side bands like Caliban and Heaven Shall Burn helped metalcore out of its infancy, in the USA it was mainly Killswitch Engage. The band around guitarist and mastermind Adam Dutkiewicz became known with singer Howard Jones, but since 2012 founding member Jesse Leach has been back on the mic for him. A duet between the frontmen has been announced for the upcoming album, with both citing Faith No More's Mike Patton as an influence. Killswitch Engage have been nominated for a Grammy three times and have sold well over four million albums. Especially live, the likeable pranksters are a spectacle!
