CONGRATS - IT´S A METAL-KID
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Back in 2006 the new fathers Tobias and Michael were unsuccessfully looking for metal shirts for their own kids Tim, Lara and Paul. Hours and hours of Internet searching followed but no shop could be found to buy a cool AC/DC or Motörhead shirt. So they came up with the idea for Metal-Kids. After that it only took a few month until they presented Metal-Kids the first time at the MCM Festival in Bad Arolsen. Shortly before on July the 7th 2007 the first webshop went online - so Metal-Kids was ready to rock and roll the metal-world!
Since then a lot of things happened. We launched the third generation of our webshop back in 2017, moved our offices twice now to increase the space and got more people on board to help.
THE RANGE
In the beginning you could only choose between a few slogan shirts and fewer band shirts. 10 years later we can offer you more than 80 bands with over 120 different print designs coming from all sorts of music genres like Hardrock, Heavy- und Power Metal, Metalcore, Nu- bzw. Alternative Metal, Extreme-, Black- and Death Metal - not to forget the good old Thrash Metal, Punkrock and Grunge. And there is still a lot we want to do in the near future!
Also our own designs - the Slogans - are growing constantly. Next to things like „born to be wild“ and out bestseller „my first metal shirt“ you can find a zombie-range, an unicorn and a dragon print as well as the „Live Long And Prosper“ for all little Trekkies out there.
The textile range is perfectly completed by the extensive range of accessories. We produce and sell useful things for all ages. For example the baby soother and bibs with AC/DC or Motörhead prints. Cooking aprons, gym bags or beanies for kids. Not to forget the car sun shade "metal kid on tour" and the stylish wall- or car tattoos for the whole metal-family!
All in all we have more than 3000 products for your rocking offspring in our webshop! Which makes us one of the biggest producer and seller of Metal Merchandise for babies and kids! We constantly work to extend the product range so we are able to have new stuff for your mini-rocker at home. It is worth checking the webshop regularly - new items are always flagged with NEW.
WHAT ELSE DO WE DO?
Additionally to the webshop you can find us on festivals all over Europe with our own booth and a good selection of products to buy. In Germany we are at Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, RockHard und Rock Harz, With Full Force, Bang Your Head, Wacken Open Air and SummerBreeze. Outside of Germany we attend at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium, Copenhell in Denmark, Hellfest in France and Download in the UK. Check our Facebook page for the tour plan.
It´s a lot of work but we do it with passion and joy. Most of our team employees are parents themselves and it´s mandatory to be a real Metalhead if you want to join the team!
