It's 2017, the festival preparations for the upcoming Metal Kids Tour are in full swing, the boxes are packed and the last signs and banners are prepared. Then we get a call from EMP. Nothing unusual, because we like to work with EMP.
EMP: "Hey, do you want to do something fun in the Backstage Club tent at W:O:A and Summerbreeze?
Metal Kids: "Of course. We have a cool idea. How about a Bobby Car race?"
Said, planned and very successfully implemented!
Those who were there will certainly remember the challenge. Two volunteers - daring and thirsty - competed against each other on real Bobby Cars. The challenge was to drive down an approximately 20m long track between the spectators in the tent, sitting on the Bobby Car. At the end, a cup of freshly tapped free beer was handed out, which had to be eaten as quickly as possible, before the Bobby Car could be turned around and the way home back to the stage could be started. The winner was the first to arrive. The prizes were a voucher for a Metal Kids T-shirt and a backpack full of great stuff like tattoos, stickers, postcards, magnets and balloons, as well as cheering spectators and the respect of everyone in the tent.
Powerwolf vs. Kissin' Dynamite - who will win the race?
Even Hannes and Jim from Kissin' Dynamite didn't miss the chance to take part in our race. Just like Attila Dorn and Falk-Maria Schlegel from Powerwolf, who competed against each other at Wacken. Benny's (Neaera) race is also legendary. At SummerBreeze he drove his opponent to sheer despair with a skilful "I finish my cup of beer by taking a half-sided shower with it" technique and fabulous athleticism when turning the Bobby Car, and in the end came second.

The world's first heavy metal Bobby Car is now available for purchase.
What started out as festival fun in the summer of 2017, however, convinced us so much that we got in touch with the manufacturer BIG in autumn 2017. It took some time, but in the end we were able to convince them with our concept, so that we could go into concrete planning and production in November 2017.
The result was our first self-designed Bobby Car "metal-kids on tour", which we have been able to offer you as a purchase version in the shop since December 2017. The original Big Bobby Car with Fulda whisper tyres also comes with a high-quality sticker set consisting of the front radiator grille with devil horns, a skull on each side and the slogan "metal-kid on tour" as well as two rear lights.
We are looking for the coolest metal-kid on tour!
