In 1969, Black Sabbath, one of the biggest and most successful bands the world has ever seen, was founded in Birmingham. In the middle of it all was the young Ozzy Osbourne. After an unsuccessful career as a petty thief and burglar, he tried his luck as a singer. An important part of their success was the unpredictability of Ozzy. For it was not only his music, but above all his stage presence that shocked the bourgeois middle classes. Everyone has certainly heard the legendary stories of Ozzy biting the head off a bat on stage. Her self-titled debut album was followed by decades of success and legendary albums. With "Paranoid", "Masters of Reality", "Volume 4" and "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" they created timeless classics. Along with the success, the consumption of drugs also increased. Since his childhood, Ozzy had been fighting a battle against alcohol, at the end of which he first quit Black Sabbath in 1979 to go into rehab and concentrate on his solo career. However, the band did not stop there and continued to work with various musicians. During this time, one of the most important albums in the history of metal was released in 1980 with "Heaven and Hell".
I am Iron Man
In 1997 the time had finally come. Black Sabbath was on stage together with Ozzy Osbourne for the first time again. Even though the voices got louder and louder after a reunion album, the fans had to wait for more than 15 more years for new output from the band. In 2013 the band finally released their last album "13". They said goodbye with a big world tour, which was crowned with a concert in their hometown Birmingham.
