Our favorite releases of the month April
The beginning is made by Gojira. Fans of the band had to wait a long time for a follow-up to their last album "Magma".
A whole five years have passed until the French now reported back with new music.
"Fortitude" is certainly one of the most anticipated metal albums of the year, because even with the first video clips before the release it became clear that Gojira will probably not disappoint with their seventh work. Quite the opposite - the wait was worth it. "Fortitude" convinces all along the line, from beginning to end Gojira build up an arc of tension, which one is hardly used to metal releases nowadays. They push the boundaries of progressive metal and prove that hard music can be both diverse and catchy. Here was worked with love to the last detail. Not only us the album has convinced, also the German magazine "Metal-Hammer" has chosen "Fortitude" to their album of the month.

Another album you should definitely check out this month is "Turn Up That Dial" by the Dropkick Murhpys. Their now tenth album has everything a fan's heart desires. There will be drinking, partying and raving again. Of course, they also lie in each other's arms and sing along. Just as one imagines a successful Irish party night. We are looking forward to seeing the Dropkick Murphys live again - hopefully next year - at concerts and festivals, because that is always a highlight.
