Spectacular stage sets and a lot of history
Iron Maiden are coming to Germany on tour in July. Although there is a new album with "Senjutsu", this will not be the focus. Rather, Steve Harris & Co are continuing their "Legacy Of The Beast" tour, which is named after the comic of the same name and free mobile game. It links several different but interlocking thematic worlds from the band's various phases. Thus, not only spectacular stage sets are used, but also different eddies.
A must for each Eddie fan
The striking mascot has constantly evolved over the years, or rather decades. There has been "Eddie The Head" as a lobotomised lunatic in a straitjacket ("Piece Of Mind", 1983), as an Egyptian mummy ("Powerslave", 1984), as a zombie rising from the grave ("Live After Death", 1985), as a cyborg ("Somewhere In Time", 1986), as a tree monster ("Fear Of The Dark", 1992) or most recently as a Japanese warrior ("Senjutsu", 2021).
Man or machine?
Originally made of papier-mâché, the constructions of the giant Eddie incarnations have become more and more elaborate and sophisticated. Fibreglass is now used as a building material and the Eddies have red-hot eyes or can spit smoke. So we can be curious about the spectacle Iron Maiden will bring to the stage this time.

The most famous mascot of the metal scene
Eddie is rightly considered the best-known and most influential mascot of the entire metal scene. Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), for example, says that in his school days there was no buddy who didn't draw Eddie on his notebooks, and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich acknowledges without envy that Iron Maiden have "the best covers and the coolest shirts".

Speaking of which: we also have many different Eddie motifs for your babies and kids, namely as a soldier ("Trooper"), a bass-playing monster ("Fear Live Flame") and a sword-wielding warrior ("Senjutsu"). With a cool aviator cap from "Aces High", Eddie adorns our baby and children's sweatpants and the baby bib features the "Piece of Mind" Eddie head. Of course, we also have the caracteristic red and white logo, not only on our textiles, but also as a world-exclusive (!) dummy. Up the irons!
